Google User Data & API Policy Disclosure
Digilabs integrates with Google APIs to enable seamless scheduling and event management for our educational platform.
1. Data Access & Usage Scope
Digilabs uses the Google Calendar calendar.events scope
(.../auth/calendar.events)
to let instructors and administrators create, update, and manage scheduled meeting events (e.g., live class sessions, lab briefings) directly from within the Digilabs platform.
When a meeting is created, Google Calendar generates a Google Meet link, which Digilabs shares with enrolled students so they can join the session.
Digilabs only creates and manages events initiated directly within the platform. We do not read, modify, or delete unrelated existing calendar data, and we do not access full calendar lists or personal calendar settings.
2. Sensitive Data Protection & Security Mechanisms
All Google user data accessed via Google API scopes is protected using industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical security safeguards.
Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted to and from our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data, including authentication tokens and account information, is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
Access Control: Access to personal and sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems on a need-to-know basis.
Ongoing safeguards: We maintain physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of your information.
3. Data Retention & Deletion Rules
Retention: Digilabs retains Google API access tokens and related event metadata only for as long as necessary to provide scheduled meeting services to your account or as required by applicable laws.
Revocation: Users may revoke Digilabs’ access to their Google account at any time via their Google Account Security Settings .
Deletion: Upon revocation, account deletion, or upon a written request sent to our support team at support@digilabs.ai , all stored OAuth tokens and associated Google user data will be permanently deleted from our primary servers within 30 days.
4. Google Limited Use Compliance
Digilabs’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
5. AI/ML Requirements Compliance
Our application, Digilabs, does not integrate with or use any third-party or self-hosted AI/ML models/services that interact with Google Workspace or Photos user data.
